Sekuoia combines the organic with the electronic in a dreamy meltdown. Dry beats, synth washes and copy/pasted vocals conjure echoes of both dubstep and atmospheric ambient. The painterly soundscapes of the young Dane are equal parts night club after midnight and stalactite cave at dawn.

Mikal Cronin’s self-titled debut from 2011 was all about endings: the end of college, the end of a serious relationship, and the end of his time in Los Angeles, where he grew up. So it’s no surprise that his sophomore release MCII and first disc for Merge Records—is all about new beginnings.
Mikal toured Europe already in Summer 2012 incuding shows at Roskilde Festival and BAM Festival, now with the new Release in the back Cronin is coming back, and its going to be really really good!

THE HISTORY OF COLOUR TV (Berlin)

Taking their main sonic cues from from the Shoegaze and fuzzed-out bands of the 90s, The History Of Colour TV’s songs advance in cascading duels of pop-sense versus noise-texture.

Propelled by a sonic charge of overdriven guitars, primitive drums and synth-induced soundscapes, the band interweave themes of sorrow and euphoria to form a glimmering evocation of a daydream in which the past has yet to be and the future has been forgotten.

Yesterday Pitchfork posted a Adult Swim’s Garage Rock compilation, including Thee oh sees and Mikal Cronin, who are both coming on tour to Europe this month! Also to hear are bands like King Khan and Cheap Time who we worked with for shows in 2012.

The first run of oh sees shows will include Cologne and Stuttgart, Venues and Tickets below. All shows are together with Zentralheizung of Death des Todes, who are having a new release out on Aliensnatch:
